Two days before Christmas I woke up with a sore throat. After a visit with the doctor at Instacare and a Strep Throat test (negative), I called my manager, but he said it would be too busy to stay away from work. I knew he was right, but I had wished I could've stayed in bed.
Christmas Eve I felt even worse but didn't even bother try calling in. I fought it with all my might and tried to stay happy and energetic, and I think I did pretty well, considering.
Christmas morning, and my voice was gone. I stayed in bed most of the day, with a visit with my parents and brother in the evening. After they left I went back to bed.
Today, I didn't think I could feel worse, but I do. I'm tired, achy, and there is so much gunk in my head and pressure in my sinuses. I think it's nap time now.
Today, it's really hard, but I am trying to tell myself that there are kids out there without presents and some without families and homes and everything else. I feel awful for feeling so selfish, but it's been really hard for me not to be selfish and whine. I feel awful for feeling so sorry for myself when I know there are parents out there that would do anything to have a job so they could give their kids presents.
Love you all and Merry Christmas. Thanks for letting me whine. :)

I hope you feel better soon! It is always hard to be sick. Let alone on Christmas!
