Salt Lake Trip Report

I realized that I hadn't posted how the concert was!  And the concert was, what, more than a month ago?!  Silly me.

Anyway, so we saw my cousin and her husband and their two kids on the way down.  What a cute family!!!  Love them!  It was so good to see you, Jessie, I wish we could've done something together.  Maybe someday soon, I hope! 

The ride went fairly smooth, no car troubles (though the car died yesterday morning...what a blessing that it did it here and not in SL!), so that was a relief.  We all went shopping and had a great time, and then went swimming that evening.  Well, my mom and brother and I went to the pool, mom stayed in the hot tub and my brother and I used both the pool and the hot tub.  :-)

Saturday, before the concert, we got up as early as we could all manage it and my brother, sister, and dad all went shopping and for a little "adventure".  We hit IKEA, Hobby Lobby, and...hmm...I can't remember.  I think we went somewhere else, but can not recall right now.  Anyway, we then went to my aunt's for dinner, which was delicious by the way, Aunt Mary!  It was so good to see her, Uncle Glen, and some of the cousins!  I miss them all!!!  I was getting quite anxious, though, the time seemed to creep up on us, so my dad took my sister and I to the concert.  Holy cow, it was crowded!!!

It felt like a long wait, but finally the opening act came out.  We were excited to see that it was ELEW.  For those who don't know, ELEW was on America's Got Talent, he played the piano and kind of strummed the inside of the piano like a guitar.  He is AMAZING.  I didn't realize that you could do comedy with just a piano, but ELEW did it.  :-)

Anyway, so ELEW entertained us for about 40 minutes, then I went out into the lobby and bought a t-shirt.  I'm kind of mad at myself, I wish I would've bought more, and I didn't even realize that there was a CD...I couldn't see it...but my sister said there was.  Oh well.  Anyway, so after I bought my shirt and a drink for my sister and I, we waited.  And waited.  And waited.  And then...JOSH!  Yay!!!  I was so excited I think I freaked out and deafened anyone within a few feet of me.  lol  So he came out and sang, and the whole concert was amazing.  He was so funny, and he sang beautifully (not a surprise lol).  I have pictures (and, like always, I wish I had more...but can't change that now), but I want to edit them before I post them.  So...I will post them as soon as they are fixed.
