Happy New Years!!!

Happy New Years all!  I am feeling a little better :).  Finally!!!

I can't believe 2010 went by so fast!!!  I think I say that every year though.  :P

Recap of 2010:

In January my Aunt (my dad's sister) passed away.  She had lupus since she was 7 and it finally caught up to her.  I have so many good memories with her.  She was a loving person to all who knew her, and she never let the lupus get her down.  I'm so grateful the Lord took her out of her pain and suffering.

I also moved out in January with a girl I work with.  We had some bad and good times, but we did have some really fun times.

I also turned 24 in February, which really isn't a big deal, but I decided to have a whole week of fun.  My roommate and I had some friends over and we played games.  Then I had a little tiny party with my family, and then that weekend I invited some people to go bowling (and my sister made cake!).   :)

In May my mom found some people that wanted a renter, and offered me cheaper rent.  I decided to take it, and they adopted me almost from day one.  I enjoy them so much, and I can tell they love me :)

July was fun, spending time with friends on the 4th and 24th.  I also officially moved into my new house/basement in July, and the dog even adopted me.  hehe

In August I took an institute class.  This was very good for me.  I had already graduated from Institute, but I wanted to take a Book of Mormon class from a teacher that taught seminary where I went.  I never had him, but I got to know him and he subbed a couple of times.  He was such a great teacher, and I learned more about the BoM, and my testimony and love for it just grew.  I didn't read as much as I should have, but it definitely did me a lot of good.

In September my family and I took a trip up north to see some friends we hadn't seen for quite some time.  I did my first official photo shoot in front of the Manti Temple, and it turned out really good (if I do say so myself :P).  They were impressed and even paid me, despite me telling them not to, since I'm not a true photographer.  :)

In November I held my first fundraiser.  It didn't turn out nearly as good as I had hoped, but I did do everything last minute, and it was my first time.  I want to do it again, hopefully this spring.  Read here for more information:  Yoga for Congo Women

December, 2 days before Christmas, I woke up with a severe sore throat.  I tested negative for strep, but then I got sniffles and was really really ill on Christmas.  Not the best Christmas.  My senior year I got the flu on Christmas, and this is about the same.  Well, someone told me at least I wasn't 6, and that's true.  Being 6 and sick on Christmas day has got to be awful.  Still, though, it didn't feel like I got a Christmas, because I didn't do anything "traditional" since I was sick.  But I did get some loving family coming over, and some perfect gifts.  :)

Love you all, happy new year!!!
